Who we are.
Cítricos de Colima is an agro-industrial conglomerate established in 1956 in the state of Colima, Mexico. The family business is dedicated to the production and industrialization of lime and its derivates such as essential oils, juices and dried peel, among others.
In Cítricos de Colima we grow, pack and distribute fresh fruits for the domestic and international markets under our brand "Colimones fresh produce", always with the consignee of implementing good agricultural practices and the highest quality and safety standards in each stage of the production chain in order to accomplish our commitment, supply the finest fresh fruits.
Our history...
65 years.
It was February 15th, 1956, when Cítricos de Colima began its operations in the city of Tecomán, Colima, México. The company's main purpose at that time was the industrialization and packaging of lime and its derivates.

In 1960, the company produced solely distilled lime oil essence, and it was until 1965 when it started producing lime juice.
In 1967 the first evaporator was installed to manufacture cloudy and clarified lime juice in concentrations of 5 to 1. Later in the year of 1968, our company started a new process in order to produce banana puree.
At the beginning of the 1972 harvest, we installed a new evaporator which processed cloudy and clarified lime juice to a concentration of 6 to 1 and turned out citric acid levels of 450 G.P.L. By the same token in 1980, our company introduced new products into the national and international markets, such as mango and guava purees, and tamarind concentrate.
Then in 1982, after a lot of experimentation, the company added another product to its line: aseptic banana puree.
Due to the need to modernize and increase the operation, it was decided to relocate the company's facilities, so at the beginning of the year 2004 they were inaugurated within the same city.
During the last decade, Cítricos de Colima has introduced, in addition to the lime crops, sugar cane as well as other fruit crops. The aim of the company is to control the whole food supply chain, including the production, packaging and distribution of different fruits in order that our consumers can have the security and reliability of highly cared products by our people, ensuring the highest quality standards in every single stage.
